  3. What is XAudio?

  5. XAudio is a sound engine for MACAST and MACAST Lite that allows it to play MPEG-1 Layer III, II and I files (more commonly known as MP3, MP2 and MP1 files).

  9. Installing XAudio is easy. Simply drag the XAudio file from this folder to your MACAST or MACAST Lite 'Plugins' folder. Answer 'OK' to the question whether you want to replace an older file. That's it! After you launch MACAST or MACAST Lite next time, it will be using the updated XAudio engine.

  11. About XAudio Extras Folder

This release of XAudio comes with the disabled VBR total track time calculation. This results in great speedup when adding items to the playlist but disables reverse timer and total time display features for variable bitrate files in MACAST/MACAST Lite. If you wish to enable total time calculation for variable bitrate (VBR) files, drag 'XAudio VBR Total Time Enabler' file from the Extras folder to your player 'Plugins' folder.
